Shaftesbury Theatre - External Refurbishment Project
The Project - The works involved the complete refurbishment to the external facades of the existing listed building, including all stained glass window repairs (including secondary glazing to the internal face within the new window sash replacements), stone repairs and cleaning, the removal of all existing surface mounted surplus fixtures and fittings, new lighting, power and CCTV. Plus the removal of the existing old canopy cladding, converting this back to its original state when constructed in 1911 with an all new slim line glazed canopy, whilst maintaining and exposing its original steel structure.
The Challenge - To carry out the programmed refurbishment works ensuring very little disruption to the listed building, and to the requirements and satisfaction of our Clients, The Theatres Trust, English Heritage, and the Local Authority Conservation Department, to also ensure that there was little or no disruption to the client or their staff whilst onsite making sure that the works ran as smoothly as possible for everyone concerned.
The Result - This project have been completed as programmed, and to the complete satisfaction of our Clients, The Theatres Trust, English Heritage, and the Local Authority Conservation Department
